Khar Road is a 13 th down railway station from Churchgate on the Western Line of the Mumbai Suburban Railways. It is closer to Bandra Terminus of Western railway for Upcountry trains.
The name of the station Khar Road is derived from the name of the fishermen's village Khar-Danda near the Arabian Sea.
